Inspiration

AFTER the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center, singer Alan Jackson released a song titled Where Were You When The World Stopped Turning.  An instant hit, it played over and over on radio stations throughout the US.  Alan wanted to help move our country from anger, hate, and resentment to LOVE.  Part of the refrain he repeated three times was:

I remember this from when I was young
Faith, hope and love are some good things HE gave us
And THE GREATEST IS LOVE

ANOTHER “LOVE FOR HATE” inspiration is Henri Landwirth, the founder of Give Kids The World.  If there was ever a person who had reason to be angry and resentful for the hardship life sent his way, it was Henri.  But, Henri learned that sharing LOVE brought healing PEACE.  To read about Henry’s remarkable story, a book written about him (Love & Hate by Bill Halamandaris) and a book written by him are both available from Give Kids The World.

ALWAYS BE HUMBLE AND KIND are words we should all live by.  Tim McGraw sings a song that repeats those words eight times.  One part goes: “Don’t hold a grudge or a chip and here’s why: bitterness keeps you from flying so always be humble and kind”.  To hear the song, click here.  To read all the words of the song, click here.

MANY THINGS ABOUT TOMORROW I DON’T SEEM TO UNDERSTAND.  That is a song lyric we understand.  So, come what may, we will just keep crafting to put a SMILE on another face.  By the way, Ira Stanphill wrote the song.  While many have sung its peace-giving lyrics, Alison Krauss and Leann Rimes are both modern singer/artists that sing it beautifully.  To hear Alison sing it, click here.  To here Leann sing it, click here.  To read all the words of the song, click here.

THE words quoted above from Alan Jackson’s song were not original to him.  They are a quote from the writer Paul in the Bible.  He wrote “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.  But the greatest of these is love. NIV “

WE want you to know, the love we bundle into our crafts was given to us by none other than God Himself.  We know for certain He still has more love to give.  If you want some, just ask Him 🙂 .
